New-build block of flats with pellet heating and an air-to-water heat pump

The four-flat block of flats in Dresden’s Hechtviertel was newly built in 2015 and fitted with sustainable and efficient building services. In winter, the pellet heating system efficiently supplies the property with heat. In combination with the heat pump and the external hydraulic unit with charge temperature control, the photovoltaic system provides supplementary heating during the transitional months and is the sole source of heating from April to October. The remaining electricity is generated under a tenant-supply scheme with surplus feed-in. An 11-kWh electric storage unit complements the system.
