Project description

In Dresden, an innovative heating system was installed on a modern detached house that simultaneously generates solar power and solar heat. Both energy sources supply a heat pump that heats the house efficiently.

Particularly noteworthy are the 15 photovoltaic thermal collectors (PVT) covering an area of 30 m². The SOLINK PVT collector combines a PV module with an air solar collector, supplies electricity to the SOLAERA 6.9 kW heat pump and simultaneously supplies air heat. This eliminates the need for an outdoor unit or fan, as is common with classic air/water heat pumps.

An ice storage tank also serves as a seasonal heat store: the solar heat generated in summer can be used as a heat source for the heat pump well into the winter. The Dresden PV thermal heat pump system is therefore characterised by particularly high efficiency and maximum climate friendliness.
