At its most recent meeting, the Dresden City Council approved the Dresden Heating Plan, which had already been published within the prescribed timeframe. This provides the state capital with a strategic framework for its future heating supply. In doing so, the City Council has expanded the areas under review and amended the action plan. The basic direction of the Heating Plan and the key measures for its further implementation remain unchanged.
You can read the official text of the resolution in the City of Dresden’s Council Information System. The revised Heating Plan and the amended catalogue of measures, together with details of the changes, can be found in our information on municipal heating planning.
One important measure is already being implemented: the Digital Energy Guide offers building owners guidance and specific information on heat supply, energy-efficient refurbishment and boiler replacement.
Digital Energy Guide with more than 4,000 visits
Since its launch in June, the revamped Digital Energy Guide has already been accessed more than 4,000 times. The service has now been expanded to include current topics and further practical examples. Among the interactive checks on offer – which guide users through modernisation, funding and energy-saving topics – the heat pump check has proved the most popular. As well as providing basic information, the Energy Guide also highlights developments that are currently relevant to property owners.
“With our Heating Plan, we offer homeowners, tenants and businesses information on the future direction of heating provision in Dresden. At the same time, we want to support people with very specific questions: What options do I have for my building? Which solution suits the local conditions and what costs does it entail? And when is a good time to consider replacing a heating system? The Digital Energy Guide offers an initial, easily accessible overview and is continuously updated with the latest information.”
